Position Overview:

As a Licensed Plumbing Technician, you will play a vital role in our maintenance team, ensuring the efficient operation of plumbing systems throughout our facilities. You will collaborate with a group of dedicated professionals who are focused on delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair the water distribution system, including all associated valves and insulation.
  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures such as toilets, sinks, and taps.
  • Oversee the maintenance of sewer systems, including sanitary, storm, and vent lines.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on designated plumbing equipment in accordance with industry standards.
  • Review blueprints and work sketches to plan installation needs effectively.
  • Utilize ladders, scaffolds, and other equipment for various installations as required.
  • Employ a range of tools and equipment, including power tools and measuring devices.
  • Assist with annual inspections and the servicing of backflow prevention devices.
  • Act as a backup for HVAC technicians when necessary.
  • Document work orders and generate technical service reports as needed.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for repair and installation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory codes and organizational policies.
  • Engage with plumbing inspectors and other regulatory authorities as required.
  • Make informed decisions that impact operational and departmental costs.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed plumber in Ontario, with comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with provincial plumbing codes and local regulations.
  • Strong numerical and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Technical proficiency in Automated Building Control systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a solid attendance record.
  • Commitment to adhering to health and safety policies.
