Job Summary

Total Site Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Specialized Vehicles: Safely operate a variety of specialized trucks, including hydrovac trucks, to transport goods and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Maintain Vehicle Condition: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of vehicles to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Conduct Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before, during, and after trips to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Effectively communicate with dispatch to receive and provide information about trip schedules, cargo, and vehicle details.
  • Document Cargo Information and Vehicle Details: Accurately document cargo information and vehicle details, including inspection reports and trip reports.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Valid Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G driver's license.
Documentation Knowledge
  • Accident Reports: Understand the importance of accurate and timely reporting of accidents and incidents.
  • Driver Logbook: Maintain a accurate and up-to-date driver logbook.
  • Inspection Reports: Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports.
  • Trip Reports: Document trip details, including cargo information and vehicle condition.
Trucking Type
  • Hydrovac: Operate hydrovac trucks to transport goods and equipment.
Travel Experience
  • Local: Travel locally to and from job sites.
Safety and Security
  • Driver's Licence Validation: Ensure driver's licenses are valid and up-to-date.
  • Driving Record Check: Maintain a clean driving record.
Transportation Information
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's license.
Work Conditions and Capabilities
  • Detail-Oriented: Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to Handle Weight: Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
