Job Description

**Temporary Full-Time Co-op/Intern Position**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Applications Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics. As a Co-op Applications Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on measuring the typical performance of our RF PLL devices on the bench, requiring extensive lab work and scripting, as well as interacting with cross-functional teams to achieve the best performance possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and analyze frequency domain signals, including phase noise, BODE plots, FFTs, and spectrum analysis.
  • Operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
  • Develop and implement Python scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in RF PLL devices and timing solutions.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of frequency domain signals analysis and lab equipment operation.
  • Experience with Python programming and scripting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PLL architecture and closed-loop control systems.
  • Experience with transmission line effects and termination schemes.
  • Soldering and reworking skills.
Education

Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with coursework in circuit analysis and control system theory.
