Energy Regulation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Energy Regulation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing applications related to natural gas facilities, franchises, and certificates, as well as natural gas rates and supply matters.
Key Responsibilities- Process and manage applications related to natural gas franchises and certificates, natural gas rates, and leave to construct of natural gas pipelines.
- Identify relevant issues with assigned applications and provide analysis and advice to internal and external stakeholders on topics such as finance, accounting, economics, regulatory policy, engineering, system planning, and gas supply.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external groups, including subject matter experts, the legal department, Commissioners, and intervenors.
- Assist in the settlement of issues with applications and other stakeholders, develop interrogatories, and participate in technical conference questioning.
- Monitor the energy and regulatory policy environment, including legislation and regulations.
- Represent the organization in external forums and venues.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years' experience in the energy sector, with preferred experience in natural gas regulation.
- Previous experience with adjudicative procedures is an asset.
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines, working under pressure, and juggling multiple priorities.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritizing, problem-solving, and time management skills.
