Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing services to designated patients while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Evaluate, plan, implement, and monitor patient care strategies.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients, providing education to them and their families regarding health and wellness.
  • Play a significant role in enhancing the overall quality of life for patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and manage incidents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Work alongside other healthcare professionals to enhance clinical competencies.
  • Engage in hospital committees and participate in research initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Active registration as a Registered Nurse in British Columbia.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven nursing skills in relation to surgical care.
  • Understanding of pathophysiology associated with prevalent diagnoses and surgical procedures.
  • Capability to conduct assessments and provide interventions across various clinical scenarios.
  • Proficiency in utilizing medical devices and accurately documenting patient care.
  • Expertise in managing patients with a wide range of healthcare requirements.
