We are looking for a qualified Carpenter to join our team at the Chelsea Hotel. Candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and possess the legal right to work in Canada. Please note that we are not accepting international applications at this time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing essential support across various departments. Key duties include the upkeep of furniture and millwork, managing repair work orders, ensuring a sufficient inventory of materials, and following safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review daily maintenance requests and prioritize repair tasks
  • Keep the carpenter workshop and tools in a clean and safe condition
  • Adhere to Fire & Safety Regulations and Health & Safety standards
  • Engage in annual training sessions and complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Carpenter
  • Proficient in operating necessary tools and equipment

Essential Soft Skills:

  • Exhibit a positive demeanor and strong customer service abilities
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently

Language Proficiency:

Strong command of the English language is required for effective communication with team members and guests.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and climb ladders
  • Capable of handling various materials and equipment
  • Willingness to stand, walk, bend, and stretch as necessary
