Job Overview:

Cashiers play a critical role in assisting our customers by providing fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. They proactively assist customers with their transactions, customer questions and assisting customers find their desired products. As a cashier, you are our first and last line of defense in ensuring that they have a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure every item is scanned and processed accurately
  • Process checkout and obtain payment from customers
  • Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area to ensure a smooth customer experience
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and follow all store policies and procedures
  • Ask customers for proof of purchase when necessary
  • Achieve daily cashier metrics and be aware of store promotions and rebates
  • Perform heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Pick, organize, and verify orders for delivery or pick-up
  • Utilize computer terminals and/or portable phones to check inventory, look-up orders, and notify customers when product is ready for pick-up

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset
  • Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
