Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Reservations Supervisor to join our team at NU WAY TOUR & TRAVELS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, establishing work schedules and procedures, and performing same duties as workers supervised.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Scheduling: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operation of the travel agency.
  • Work Schedules and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and meet customer needs.
  • Supervision and Training: Perform same duties as workers supervised, provide guidance and training to new staff members, and ensure they are equipped to handle their responsibilities.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Problem-Solving and Customer Service: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Assist clients/guests with special needs and ensure their requirements are met.
  • Human Resources: Co-ordinate, assign, and review work, hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, and maintain operation of computer systems, equipment, machinery, and arrange repair work to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
  • Materials and Supplies: Requisition materials and supplies as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the travel agency.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent oral communication skills, accurate, client-focused, dependable, flexible, and organized.

  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, support their social and labour market integration, and recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Veterans: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Veterans, provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans, and recruit Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers, and offer phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities, apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, and offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
