Job Title: Resident Care Aide

At Century Group, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Aide to join our team at Magnolia Gardens in Langley, BC.

Job Summary

The Resident Care Aide will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, toileting, and dressing.
  • Assist residents with meals, snacks, and hydration, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Support residents with social and activity programs, including daily exercise and outings.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Respond to emergency situations, using knowledge of evacuation techniques and proper lifting procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in care planning and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
Requirements
  • Residential Care Aide Certificate from a reputable school.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care or assisted living.
  • Registration with the BC Care Aide Registry.
  • Food Safe and WHMIS Certificates an asset.
  • Basic First Aid recommended.
