Companionship Caregiver

The Companionship Caregiver works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or designee and provides direct observation and companionship to clients in their home.

Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and socialization to clients.
  • Assist with light housekeeping and food preparation.
  • Attend to clients' requests promptly.
  • Maintain appropriate communication with the Clinical Supervisor and interdisciplinary team.
  • Document care given and pertinent observations accurately.


Requirements
  • Be eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write, and follow a written Aide Care Plan.
  • Be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate dependability, tact, patience, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
