About the Role:

Gillfor Distribution Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commodity Trader to join our team in Longueuil, Quebec. As a key member of our Commodity Team, you will be responsible for selling and distributing wood-based commodities, industrial/specialty panels, and other building material products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize local market information to make informed sales and purchasing decisions on key structural wood-framing commodities.
  • Collaborate with our Commodity Team to achieve sales and revenue goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Assess market trends and make strategic decisions to drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commodity trading or sales role.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Business degree or post-secondary diploma in a related field.
