Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, treatment, and consultation services for patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, including swallowing assessment and treatment.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and registration with the College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario.
  • Experience in assessment and treatment of dysphagia, including video fluoroscopic studies.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
