Mortgage Broker/Agent Role

At VERICO, we're seeking a skilled Mortgage Broker/Agent to join our team. As a key player in our mortgage sector, you'll be responsible for developing residential mortgage business from third-party referral sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Closing mortgage loans with borrowers
  • Explaining mortgage loan options to borrowers
  • Researching mortgage rates and determining the best rate for borrowers
  • Meeting with prospective borrowers to identify their needs and financial goals
  • Explaining the loan process to prospective borrowers
  • Helping borrowers apply for a mortgage loan
  • Working directly with clients to obtain a new mortgage, refinance an existing loan, or obtain a second mortgage

What We Offer:

You'll have access to an industry-leading suite of mortgage products, including HELOC products and solutions for rental property financing, purchase-plus improvements, and customers who are business-for-self, high-net-worth, or new to Canada.

Our underwriting model is efficient, fast, and rooted in common sense lending principles, with options from Alt A, and B Lenders as well as Private Lenders.

Location: Ontario, with opportunities in Barrie, Innisfil, Orillia, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Alliston, Newmarket, Aurora, Bradford, Maple, Richmond Hill, Markham, Woodbridge, Toronto, Scarborough, Mississauga, Milton, Ottawa West, London, Hamilton, Windsor, Oshawa, Ajax, Pickering, Durham.

Compensation: Commission, plus bonuses

Expected Hours: 20-40 per week

Requirements: 1 year of mortgage experience (preferred), FSRA Mortgage Agent License (preferred)
