Skilled Practical Nurse Opportunity

Are you passionate about providing quality nursing care? We are currently seeking a committed Licensed Practical Nurse who is dedicated to delivering compassionate patient support within our healthcare facility.
Operating within a collaborative clinical environment and adhering to the standards set by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), the LPN will engage closely with the healthcare team in various direct care responsibilities, including patient assessment.
Planning, executing, evaluating interventions, and coordinating health services for patients in the Emergency Department.Engages in discharge and care planning, advocates for patients, and educates patients and their families on health conditions and wellness strategies.
Enhances the quality of life from the perspective of patients and their families. Establishes and nurtures therapeutic relationships grounded in respect.Within a team-oriented framework, provides care to patients of all ages, focusing on stable and predictable health conditions by initiating and adhering to established care plans.
Identifies and addresses unexpected patient outcomes through effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Records care provided and responses to incidents in accordance with established protocols and expectations of the Emergency Department. Consults and collaborates with other healthcare providers as necessary.Work Schedule: Rotating shifts, including Days and Nights, from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00.

- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and one (1) year of recent experience in a related care setting.
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Demonstrated nursing practice abilities related to caring for patients in the Emergency Department, including those with stable and predictable health conditions.
- Knowledge of pathophysiology relevant to common diagnoses for the designated patient group.
- Ability to perform nursing assessments and interventions for common diagnoses and specific clinical situations.
- Capacity to make sound clinical judgments to ensure safe and ethical patient care.
- Proficiency in recognizing potential complications and alerting the appropriate healthcare team members.
- Competence in using medical equipment and maintaining skills in various healthcare technologies.
- Ability to document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Skills in patient-centered care planning and education.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
