Job Title: Welder Helper

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder Helper to join our team at The Steel Guys Fabricating Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Welder Helper will assist our experienced welders in the fabrication of metal products, ensuring high-quality finishes and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to achieve optimal results.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers in their tasks.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles to facilitate the transportation of materials.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish, adhering to quality standards.
  • Read and interpret work orders to understand project requirements.
