Job Summary

Heng Mei Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter Helper to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting welders and fitters in various tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Read blueprints and instructions to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as needed.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work a standard 30-40 hour workweek, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
