Research Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Research Director, Trust and Endowment. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in financial management, accounting, and research operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the financial, accounting, and accountability operations related to research, trust, and endowment activities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with funding agency requirements and mitigate related risks.
- Provide leadership in managing endowed funds and the usable funding they generate to respond to the University's financial aid requirements while ensuring the long-term viability of the endowment funds.
- Design, review, and promote financial policies and procedures related to trusts and research activities to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with faculties, researchers, and senior managers to ensure service excellence in preparing and sending all financial reports for research, trust, and endowment funds.
- University degree in accounting or business administration combined with accounting certification (CPA).
- Ten years' experience in the education sector or in a large business, including at least six years in a financial management position.
- Knowledge of generally recognized accounting principles and audit file documentation.
- Experience in managing human resources and leading a team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to design and implement new work procedures and come up with innovative solutions.
- Excellent ability to analyze, summarize, and solve complex problems.
- Experience in using major financial software and computer programs.
- Organizational skills, including the ability to properly manage own time, complete several simultaneous tasks, and meet firm deadlines.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, creating financial forecasts.
- Bilingualism (spoken and written).
