Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned System and Network Administrator to ensure the security and reliability of our computer systems and networks.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented technology professional with several years of experience in system and network administration.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure with a focus on security, including routers, switches, and access points.
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange systems.
- Design and implement LANs, WANs, and VPNs to ensure secure and reliable network connectivity.
- Administer virtualization, storage, and backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Manage network and phone infrastructure to ensure seamless communication.
- Implement best practices to protect corporate data from intrusion, loss, and corruption.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in computer science or systems and network administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience designing and managing network hardware infrastructure.
- 5+ years of administration of virtualized environments, including MS Hyper-V and/or VMware V-Sphere.
- 5+ years of experience working with computer security, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with FC-based SANs.
- Expert knowledge and experience with Active Directory and group policy administration.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
- Advanced knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
- Experience with helpdesk or IT end-user support is an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot network and computer issues over the phone and via remote tools.
- Professional attitude, with a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and lead them to successful completion without daily guidance.
- Reliable and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Niagara Peninsula.
- Able to pass a police background check.
