Key Responsibilities - install, monitor and maintain

  • Network Infrastructure (routers, switches, access points) with focus on security
  • Microsoft AD, Exchange
  • LANs, WAN and VPNs
  • Virtualization, storage and backup systems
  • Network and Phone Infrastructure
  • Use best practices to protect corporate data from intrusion, loss and corruption

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in computer science or systems and network administration
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent are a plus.
  • 5+ years proven experience designing and managing network hardware infrastructure
  • 5+ years administration of virtualized environments, including MS Hyper-V and/or VMware V-Sphere
  • 5+ years’ experience working with computer security (e.g. firewalls and intrusion detection systems).
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with FC based SANs
  • Expert knowledge and experience with Active Directory and group policy administration
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Advanced knowledge of Network Monitoring and Management Tools.
  • Experience with helpdesk or IT end user support an asset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network and computer issues over the phone and via remote tools
  • Professional but enthusiastic, energetic and positive attitude
  • Ability to take ownership of projects, make the required decisions and lead them to successful completion without daily guidance from management.
  • Reliable and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and willingness to travel within Niagara Peninsula
  • Able to pass a police background check

This is an in-office position located at the head office in Jordan Station, Ontario.

Salary is based on certifications and/or experience.
