Craftsman Collision is seeking a skilled Repair Planner to join our team. As a Repair Planner, you will play a critical role in supporting our daily operations, ensuring stakeholder objectives are met, and maintaining a safe, effective, and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Daily Operations: Provide leadership to ensure stakeholder objectives are met in a safe, effective, ethical, and positive manner.
  • Manage Shop Operations: Support management of the shop in alignment with The Craftsman Way (TCW).
  • Support Daily Production: Support daily production, work flow, and quality control of the shop.
  • Utilize Company Dashboard: Use the company dashboard to accurately identify and prioritize tasks.
  • Participate in Daily Meetings: Actively participate in daily production meetings.
  • Expertise in Insurance Policies: Utilize expert understanding and application of all insurance specific policies and procedures.
  • Part Identification and Ordering: Identify and order parts from the management system after completing repair plans.
  • Customer Education: Assist with educating customers about claims and repair processes.
  • Production Deadlines: Maintain awareness of production deadlines and update customers as required.
  • Customer Service: Provide customer service at vehicle drop off and pick up, including reviewing replacement vehicle and customer vehicle.
  • Vehicle Recall Checks: Check for vehicle recalls while building repair plans.
  • Vehicle History Review: Review vehicle history in Craftsman Management System.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Proactively take steps and leverage all systems and resources to reduce effort in order to increase touch time and reduce vehicle days in shop.
  • Compliance and Quality: Work with the Shop Manager, Assistant Shop Manager, Operations team, People and Culture Team, and Health, Safety and Environment Manager to ensure that operations are compliant with all provincial and national regulatory standards pertaining to health and safety, quality, and employment standards.
  • Internal Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and guidelines to promote their consistent application within the Company.
  • File Closure: Contribute to the goal of closing all files within 24 hours of vehicle delivery.
  • Company Standards: Support company standards in SPARKLE, safety, and security.
  • Brand Representation: Represent and promote the Craftsman Collision brand in a positive manner aligned with stated values in all dealings internal and external.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of progressive industry experience, including experience in sales, customer service, or leadership.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Certification: Working towards I-CAR Platinum certification an asset.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Mitchell Estimating, Audatex, ALLDATA.
  • Platform Experience: Experience using Craftsman Management System or similar platform.
  • ADAS Knowledge: Knowledge and experience in ADAS systems, vehicle calibrations, and emerging vehicle technologies.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal, written, and listening skills, combined with the ability to interact and gain the support of senior leadership and other decision-makers.
  • Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution: A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Time Management and Problem Solving: Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment skills.
  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Outlook and video conferencing platforms with the ability and willingness to learn new applications.
  • Learning and Development: Demonstrated desire and aptitude for learning and development.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract over the last 3 years.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
