Your RoleIf you seek a rewarding challenge in a collaborative, respectful, and friendly work environment within a growing team, we would be pleased to hear from you. As an Environmental Engineering Specialist, you will collaborate with the environmental team, and your primary responsibilities will include:
- Reporting to the Team Leader, coordinating and executing assigned tasks related to the management and implementation of environmental projects, including but not limited to:
- Conducting Phased Environmental Site Assessments, which involve historical research, site inspections, and soil and groundwater sampling;
- Performing surveys for Designated Substances and other Hazardous Materials;
- Overseeing and validating site remediation and tank removal processes;
- Monitoring air quality;
- Preparing field notes, analyzing data, and evaluating findings;
- Contributing to the writing of technical reports and proposals;
- Building and maintaining client relationships;
- Implementing and promoting Englobe's health and safety protocols.
- A University Degree or College Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related environmental field;
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in environmental assessment and fieldwork;
- Membership in Professional Engineer and Geoscientists is advantageous but not required;
- Familiarity with both provincial and federal environmental regulations;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Experience supervising contractors on-site;
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines;
- A team-oriented mindset and exceptional communication abilities;
- A valid driver's license;
- Willingness and capability to travel occasionally throughout the Atlantic provinces.
