About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Host to join our team at Biff's Bistro. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to all guests, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage guest flow, maximizing seating capacity and communicating effectively with the Front of House team.
  • Escort guests to their tables, engaging them in friendly conversation and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Accurately take reservations over the phone and in person, maintaining attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas, ensuring a polished and inviting atmosphere.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the restaurant, including table numbers and section awareness, to provide exceptional service to our guests.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 6 months of prior experience.
  • High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional tone and demeanor.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, with restaurant experience considered an asset.
  • Full availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
