Metro Vancouver is a leading regional district in Canada, providing essential services to its residents. We are seeking a highly skilled Division Manager to lead our Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the growth and development of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance division, ensuring alignment with Metro Vancouver's strategic objectives.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of five regional wastewater treatment plants, processing over 1 billion litres of wastewater daily.
- Collaborate with the Director, Wastewater Treatment & Residuals Management, Operations & Maintenance to develop and implement strategies for optimizing team performance and adopting industry best practices.
- Act as a mentor and collaborator to a team of approximately 80 staff, supporting their growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and relevant municipal bylaws.
- University degree in engineering or a relevant field.
- 10 years of recent, related progressive experience in utility system maintenance, wastewater operations, and facility design, construction, and operations.
- Extensive technical expertise in wastewater maintenance, including drainage systems.
- Superior understanding of maintenance aspects affecting wastewater facility design, construction, and operations.
- Formal professional or technical designation in an appropriate area of expertise.
