Job Summary

Metro Vancouver is a leading regional district in Canada, providing essential services to its residents. We are seeking a highly skilled Division Manager to lead our Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the growth and development of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance division, ensuring alignment with Metro Vancouver's strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of five regional wastewater treatment plants, processing over 1 billion litres of wastewater daily.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Wastewater Treatment & Residuals Management, Operations & Maintenance to develop and implement strategies for optimizing team performance and adopting industry best practices.
  • Act as a mentor and collaborator to a team of approximately 80 staff, supporting their growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and relevant municipal bylaws.
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering or a relevant field.
  • 10 years of recent, related progressive experience in utility system maintenance, wastewater operations, and facility design, construction, and operations.
  • Extensive technical expertise in wastewater maintenance, including drainage systems.
  • Superior understanding of maintenance aspects affecting wastewater facility design, construction, and operations.
  • Formal professional or technical designation in an appropriate area of expertise.
