Senior Project Engineer Opportunity

Join Metro Vancouver's Project Delivery Department as a Senior Project Engineer, responsible for the design and construction of the Northwest Langley Wastewater Treatment Plant (NLWWTP) Expansion Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex engineering and project management work for large wastewater treatment projects.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and risk registers, ensuring effective and efficient expenditure of allocated funds.
  • Make decisions and provide recommendations on project-related issues, adhering to broad policies and mandates.
  • Prepare, review, and evaluate project designs, technical reports, and contract specifications.
  • Supervise professional engineers and technical staff engaged in complex technical work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Membership or eligibility for immediate membership as a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.).
  • Sound technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and their application in wastewater treatment plant design, procurement, and construction.
  • Proven contract administration and project management skills, with ability to communicate effectively and work with minimal supervision.
