Configuration Management Specialist

The Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all configuration management functions are maintained in accordance with contractual requirements, industry standards, and quality assurance standards. This includes facilitating configuration control boards, performing impact analyses, and ensuring that all affected items are fully identified and listed on the change impact matrix.
Key Responsibilities- Review proposed changes and ensure that all contractual requirements for configuration are fulfilled.
- Perform impact analysis and ensure that all affected items are fully identified and listed on the change impact matrix.
- Schedule and facilitate configuration control boards, including ECA, CRB, and CIB meetings.
- Ensure that all changes are fully developed and assessed from a configuration management perspective.
- Audit the change packages to ensure continuity between the old and new datasets.
- Ensure accurate traceability of product configurations and revise As-Built records based on change effectivity.
- Assess requests for variances and ensure that the departure from the approved configuration is clearly captured.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of configuration management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills. A bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience in configuration management, or a graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, are required. CMII or CMPIC certification or other CM-related certification is an asset.
