Valard Construction LP is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As a leading utility contractor in Canada, we offer a dynamic work environment and opportunities for growth and development.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to work on various utility projects in the GTA area. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Toronto Hydro utility work and a valid DZ license. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while following job requirements and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform groundwork and maintenance tasks on utility projects
  • Operate heavy equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and legislation
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Valid DZ license and a clear driver's abstract
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Toronto Hydro utility work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
