Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wood Frame Carpenter to join our team at Sofa Studio. As a Wood Frame Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
Work Environment

As a Wood Frame Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to work in confined spaces, and the job may involve noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Reliability, team player, values and ethics, punctuality
