Job Summary:

The House of Commons of Canada Chambre des communes du Canada is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food Service Attendant to join our team in the Parliamentary Precinct. As a Food Service Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, including Members of Parliament, their staff, and visitors to the precinct.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve customers in cafeterias at various stations and at the sales register
  • Participate in the setup of all equipment and food delivery for all catering events throughout the precinct
  • Support Servers in the Parliamentary Dining Room
  • Operate the parliamentary dining room or cafeteria sale registers

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training, and/or relevant experience
  • Experience in a similar position in a cafeteria or food service environment
  • Experience with food preparation
  • Experience in customer service delivery and problem-solving in a high-profile environment

Assets:

  • Completion of a basic health and safety course and/or certification under the Food Safety Training or a Food Handler Certificate
