About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join TAG HR as a Family Law Legal Assistant, working with a top law firm in Ottawa, ON. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the legal team, ensuring the smooth operation of the office, and delivering exceptional client service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review legal documents, including correspondence, financial statements, and court documents
  • Assist with the preparation of pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and other court documents
  • Arrange for the service and filing of court documents
  • Manage team calendars, schedules, and client appointments
  • Maintain professional contact with clients, counsel, and court officials


Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Law Clerk/Legal Assistant with Family Law experience
  • A Law Clerk college diploma or related degree
  • Proficiency in Family Law rules and court filing processes
  • Strong English communication and client service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and files
  • Confident, dependable, and flexible team member with proactive initiative
