Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Leopold's Tavern Beltline. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Establish and implement effective work schedules to meet business demands
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Estimate and requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
    • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform purchasing decisions
  • Customer Service and Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, inventory, and sales
    • Establish and maintain accurate records of staff performance, training, and development
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or kitchen management role
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Standing for extended periods, with regular breaks
    • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client-focused with excellent oral communication skills
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
