Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Parts Apprentice Technician to join our team at Western Star Trucks. As a key member of our parts department, you will be responsible for ordering, warehousing, and inventory control of parts, as well as providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily orders and receive shipments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide sales quotes and information to customers via phone and email
  • Maintain a high level of service to internal and external customers, communicating effectively with dealership personnel and departments
  • Operate non-powered material handling equipment, such as dollies and pallet jacks
  • Responsible for cores, warranties, and new part returns, following department policies and procedures
  • Participate in training and development programs, and attend department meetings
  • Report safety concerns and incidents to your supervisor or manager
  • Maintain a professional appearance and strong work ethic

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate a forklift is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate department demands
  • Ability to lift up to 60 Lbs.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be sales driven, organized, and self-motivated
