Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Care Specialist to join our team at Christopher Timothy Skinner. As a Child Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to children in a home-based setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Travel with families on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Discipline children according to the parents' requested methods
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • Assist children with homework
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
