Medical Imaging Specialist

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team on a casual basis.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to work in our imaging department. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:- Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, and MRI machines
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining protocols and positioning patients
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and patient areas
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Perform other duties as required
- CMRITO designation
- Membership with CAMRT and OAMRT an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
- Demonstrated effective communications, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with many and varied internal and external individuals, groups, and agencies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. Stand-by/On-call as per department needs.
