Lead Compliance and Audit Specialist

Position Overview: The Research Operations Office at the University of Cambridge is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to take on the role of Lead Compliance and Audit Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments, faculty members, and Research Operations personnel to oversee the auditing process of the University’s research grant portfolio.
- Provide expert guidance to departments in fulfilling their assurance obligations as mandated by funding bodies.
- Coordinate and manage all audit visits initiated by funders, ensuring they are conducted smoothly and that any findings are effectively addressed.
- Support departments in the proper application of funders’ terms and conditions, as well as University policies, to mitigate risks associated with regulatory compliance.
- Assist the Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager and Coordinator in conducting assurance and compliance evaluations related to research funding management.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess a background in a multi-stakeholder environment, with experience in audit, compliance, or assurance roles. Shortlisting will be based on these qualifications.
