Key Responsibilities
Client ManagementYou will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for these clients.
Your portfolio of clients will primarily be operating partnerships and S-Corps, small C-Corporations, and high net worth tax individuals.
Tax ComplianceEnsure timely final review and delivery of federal and state income tax compliances, including quarterly estimates.
AdvisoryProvide federal and state tax advisory services to corporations.
Audit AssistanceAssist with federal and state audits, including correspondence, data compilation, and audit coordination.
CollaborationLiaise with our offshore team regularly for the execution of tax compliances and advisory services.
Risk and Performance ManagementManage engagement risk and performance, including project budgets, resource planning, status, and financial metrics.
Business DevelopmentParticipate in and contribute to the marketing and business development activities of the firm.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
~5+ years in public accounting firms combined with advanced academic qualifications; active CPA (current and valid license required).
~ Strong technical skill in federal and multi-state taxation.
~ Strong experience in tax compliances for business owners/high net worth individuals and passthrough businesses.
~ Decent experience in tax compliances for C-Corporations.
~ Proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office tools, including hands-on experience with advance Excel features, Thomson Reuters Gosystems and tax research applications.
~ Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability.
~ Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
~ Demonstrate problem solving ability along with attention to detail and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
