Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a key member of our crew, you'll safely operate a combo unit, performing snow removal on local roads and highways in accordance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a combo unit to clear snow and ice from roads and highways
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
  • Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Familiarizing yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates
  • Meeting call-in requirements during winter storm events
  • Assisting with traffic control at work zones and accident scenes
  • Performing housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean work environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A valid BZ, DZ, or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Availability to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Good understanding of MTO standards and CDMC Contract Performance Requirements
