Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a combo unit, performing snow removal on local roads and highways as per the contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a combo unit, performing snow removal and ice control operations on local roads and highways
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
  • Accurately document fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
  • Assist in providing traffic control at work zones and accident scenes
  • Perform housekeeping duties to ensure the shop, common areas, and exterior of the yard are clean and safe

Requirements

  • BZ, DZ, or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
  • Available to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs and stand for periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge, ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
  • Good understanding of MTO standards and CDMC Contract Performance Requirements
