Job Title: Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Jean Coutu Dieppe. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our pharmacy and drugstore, working closely with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Staff and Assign Duties: Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Study market trends and consumer demand to determine sales volumes and competitor activity, and use this information to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine which products and services to sell, and locate and procure merchandise for resale.
  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote sales and drive customer engagement.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make financial decisions to ensure the success of the store.
  • Customer Service and Conflict Resolution: Resolve customer complaints and issues, and provide exceptional customer service to build customer loyalty and drive sales.
  • Staff Recruitment and Supervision: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff to ensure the store has the right people in the right roles.
Requirements:
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a retail or pharmacy environment.
  • Language: Bilingual (English and French).
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in point of sale systems, electronic schedulers, inventory control software, and electronic mail.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable, basic security clearance, and a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Adaptability, analytical, collaborative, creativity, efficiency, energetic, goal-oriented, hardworking, integrity, outgoing, positive attitude, proactive, quick learner, time management, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, and a team player.
