Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager to join our team at Jean Coutu Dieppe. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise a team of staff members to ensure that they are meeting their performance goals and providing excellent customer service.
- Study market trends and consumer behavior to determine sales strategies and optimize store operations.
- Determine the merchandise and services to be sold in the store, including selecting and procuring products for resale.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
- Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make financial decisions to ensure the store's profitability.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Recruit, hire, and train new staff members, and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure that the store is running efficiently and effectively.
- 3-5 years of experience in a retail or pharmacy environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions quickly.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of point-of-sale systems, inventory control software, and electronic scheduling.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college or university degree an asset.
