Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance our culinary offerings
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to maintain exceptional standards
    • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to prepare and present dishes to our high standards
  • Inventory Management and Control
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and optimize stock
    • Implement efficient systems for tracking and monitoring inventory
  • Staff Management and Training
    • Recruit, train, and develop a team of skilled cooks and kitchen staff
    • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and standards
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all kitchen staff
    • Implement and maintain strict health and safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Post-secondary education in culinary arts or related field
    • Food Safety Certification and WHMIS Certification
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a high-volume restaurant or bar
    • Proven track record of menu planning, inventory management, and staff development
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
