Role Overview
The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team is dedicated to driving revenue and growth from a diverse range of customers, including small- and mid-market accounts as well as enterprise-level clients. The AWS Global Support team believes that exceptional support is essential for customer success and collaborates with a global clientele that builds mission-critical applications on AWS.
As a Solutions Architect (SA) at AWS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies to enhance the adoption of Amazon's cloud services, which encompass infrastructure, DevOps, business applications, multimedia, machine learning, IoT, desktop applications, and industry-specific solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients to expedite their business objectives and propose optimal cloud architectures aligned with their long-term goals.
- Facilitate technical discussions with clients, delving into intricate details to resolve complex technical challenges and leverage your expertise to design scalable, adaptable, and robust cloud solutions.
- Align with your clients' business requirements to promote the adoption of the most suitable AWS technologies.
- Develop and implement strategies by collaborating with highly skilled teams, including Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS professional services consultants, and consulting/managed services partners.
- Act as a thought leader within the community, contributing to education, sharing best practices, presenting at events, authoring white papers, blogs, and conducting workshops.
- Advocate for the customer perspective to influence the development of new features and services for the AWS platform, proactively collaborating within the organization to shape the platform's evolution.
- Serve as a vital technical member of the Solutions Architecture team, influencing decision-makers across various domains to ensure customer success in developing applications and services on the AWS platform that align with long-term business objectives.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- Proven experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Background in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with AWS services.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English and Chinese.
- Demonstrated success in a similar role, showcasing a track record of delivering measurable business impact and achieving strategic goals.
- Strategic thinker capable of translating insights into actionable plans and initiatives.
- Awareness of industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices.
