We are seeking a highly skilled Operations & Maintenance Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the execution of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) operations, supervising staff and sub-contractors, and communicating with clients and O&M teams.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the execution of O&M operations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and train staff and sub-contractors, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor alarm responses and mechanical operations, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, fire, and security systems.
- Communicate with clients and other facility occupants to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Develop and implement employee training and site orientation plans, ensuring staff are equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively.
- Provide regular management reports to the O&M team and clients, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Be available on call 24/7 to provide telephone assistance and emergency response to facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including those related to safety, quality, and environmental management.
- 5+ years of experience in operations and maintenance, preferably with experience in healthcare or a related field.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to train and develop staff.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, fire, and security systems.
- Ability to operate Building Automation Systems and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Resident of Kamloops, British Columbia.
