Key Responsibilities
  • Bar Area Management: Arrange the bar area to create an attractive display, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean the bar area, wash glassware, and maintain the draft beer system to ensure a high level of quality and hygiene.
  • Wine and Drink Recommendations: Advise customers on wine selection and provide recommendations on drink choices to enhance their experience.
  • Payment and Sales: Collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment for beverages and record and balance beverage sales accurately.
  • Inventory Management: Order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock to ensure efficient operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to maintain a safe and responsible environment.
  • Drink Preparation: Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to meet customer demands.
  • Order Taking: Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons to ensure timely service.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with high pressure to meet customer demands.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Permanent Position: This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 32 hours per week.
