Job Title: Bilingual Claims Examiner

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Claims Examiner to join our team in the Errors and Omissions Department. As a Bilingual Claims Examiner, you will work closely with independent adjusters, technical experts, and legal counsel to develop and coordinate defense strategies for professional liability insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage claim lifecycle from coverage assessment to resolution, including retainer of lawyers, adjusters, and experts.
  • Assess financial exposures under policy and report to carrier partners where applicable.
  • Communicate with and manage relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate on and potentially present internal and external training and seminars.
  • Travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Education background and work experience relating to one or more of the following areas: insurance, claims adjusting, legal, accounting, financial, economics, medical or mathematics field.
  • A willingness to complete all requirements for AMF Adjusters' license within 12 months of start date.
  • Effective problem solver and strong analytical skills in order to analyze problems and develop/implement effective solutions.
  • Exceptional customer service skills in order to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Service oriented professional with a positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively function in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience dealing with professional liability insurance claims.
  • AMF Adjusters' License in good standing.
