Job Description

BA Blacktop Group of Companies is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Project Coordinator in our Operations department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination
    • Assist the Project Manager in designing and implementing project plans to ensure successful job completion.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of project activities.
  • Quality Management
    • Implement the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Lead quality coordination activities to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Site Management
    • Ensure a safe working environment by promoting safe working methods and conducting regular site walkthroughs.
    • Record meeting minutes and maintain accurate records of project activities.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Assist the construction manager in day-to-day activities and provide support to superintendents with field operations and job scheduling.
    • Coordinate with other Quality Coordinators to ensure all aspects of the QMS are being followed.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Broad understanding of road construction and related activities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
    • OFA Level 1 or Higher.
    • Fall Protection and Rescue.
    • QA, QC training, proper tracking of Quantities.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and Experience
    • Knowledgeable of Specifications and requirements in roadway construction (DBSS, MMCD, etc.).
    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a Related Field.
    • PMP designation.
    • Gold Seal Certification.
