Fednav Limited, a leading international maritime shipping company, is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Talent Acquisition professional to support the full lifecycle of recruitment activities for Montreal and international offices.

This role will play a key part in developing comprehensive recruiting strategies, sourcing top-tier talent, and building a robust and diverse pipeline to meet both current and future needs. The ideal candidate will leverage technologies to assess and track candidates, manage relationships, and facilitate the full recruitment process to successful onboarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies that align with the company's goals and values.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and industry events, to identify and engage potential candidates.
  • Proactively source, build, and maintain a diverse talent pipeline for current and future openings.
  • Enhance the company's employer brand by creating compelling job postings, assisting with Career Site content, and fostering positive interactions with candidates.
  • Assist with internal communication to promote vacant positions, new hires, and promotions.
Candidate Experience
  • Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience from initial contact through the entire recruitment process.
  • Provide timely communication, feedback, and updates to candidates.
  • Consider candidates for different positions based on their skills and qualifications.
Compliance and Diversity
  • Ensure adherence to relevant labor laws and regulations while promoting diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the recruitment process.
Continuous Improvement / Technology
  • Participate in projects to enhance our technology, including Workday ATS.
  • Support the adoption of Workday in talent acquisition and onboarding activities.
  • Assist with monitoring new Workday releases and features and assess their benefits to Fednav.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor practices, and emerging recruitment technologies and participate in improving talent acquisition tools.
Onboarding
  • Complete full-cycle onboarding for new hires and coordinate with various departments and hiring managers to ensure necessary equipment, access, and resources are ready for new hires on their start date.
  • Promote the Company's culture through onboarding presentations and act as a resource for new hires, answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing guidance during the initial onboarding period.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent mix of education and experience is required; degree in business administration or human resources is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct recruitment experience, either on the agency side or corporate for professional roles.
  • Experience with campus recruitment.
  • Experience sourcing through social media methods, including Indeed, LinkedIn, and other industry-specific networking sites.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of talent acquisition software (ATS), Workday is a preferred asset.
  • Experience direct sourcing and developing a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact, influence, and negotiate with a variety of internal clients and external candidates.
  • Proactive and able to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience with psychometric and personality assessment tools, a preferred asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both French and English.
