Position Overview

Kiera Transportation Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Management: Plan or modify routes based on real-time conditions using advanced navigation tools to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Customer Interaction: Maintain a high standard of professionalism in customer service.
  • Loading and Unloading: Efficiently handle the loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate both straight and articulated trucks for the transport of materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect the vehicle's condition, including tires, lights, and brakes, and perform emergency roadside repairs as necessary.
  • Inspection Duties: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
Qualifications
  • Licenses Required: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation Skills: Proficient in handling accident reports, driver logbooks, and maintenance records.
Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Ability to manage heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Work Schedule: Expected to work between 32 to 44 hours per week.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
