About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Skylark Logistics Inc. as a Safety Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys and monitoring programs of the natural environment to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products and investigate workplace accidents or illnesses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans, ensuring that all employees understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met, and develop policies, standards, and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Act as a technical consultant in a particular field of expertise, providing guidance and support to employees and management on health and safety matters.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a logistics or transportation company.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations as required.
