About the Role
Slegg Building Materials is seeking a skilled General Labour to join our team in our Manufacturing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of engineered wood products, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the cutting and preparation of engineered wood products, including I-joists, LVL, and LSL.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet our high standards.
- Assist in the receipt and storage of materials, including inventory management.
- Participate in team efforts to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50lbs).
- Valid forklift certification and experience.
