Job Summary

Slegg Building Materials is seeking a skilled General Labour to join our team in our Manufacturing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of engineered wood products, ensuring high-quality results, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the cutting and preparation of engineered wood products, including I-joists, LVL, and LSL.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet our high standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals and deadlines.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid forklift certification and experience.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
